About / The technician behind the apps

One tech.
Zero committees.

I'm Austin — a working field technician based in Austin, TX, and the developer behind FieldDeck and BuildingSurvey.

I didn't set out to build software. I set out to fix my own workday — and the tools that came out of it are too useful to keep to myself.

WHY-01

Built to solve my own needs

Every feature in these apps exists because I needed it on a job site — managing field work without enterprise bloat, documenting a building survey without a camera roll and a prayer. If it didn't earn its place in my own truck, it isn't in the product.

WHY-02

The vision

Field technicians and small MSPs deserve software made for how the work actually happens — not adapted from tools built for someone else's desk. The goal is simple: facilitate the work of every field tech who picks these up, the same way they facilitate mine.

Where the money goes /

LOCAL / INDIE

All proceeds support a local developer

Every app sale goes directly to me — an independent developer in Austin, TX. No investors, no parent company, no growth targets set by people who have never held a punch-down tool. Buying these apps means supporting an indie developer making useful products tailor-made for field technicians and MSPs.

INDIE / PROOF

Why indie matters here

Independent developers answer to the people using the software — nobody else. Feature requests come from job sites, bugs get fixed by the person who hit them first, and the roadmap is a punch list from real work. That's the model worth promoting.
